Based on the type, mesothelioma is categorized into five types, and all can attack several parts of human organs such as the lungs, abdomen, and heart. Below is an explanation:

Pleural mesothelioma (pleura)

Pleural mesothelioma is the most common type of all mesothelioma. The disease is included in malignant mesothelioma, caused by the frequent person inhaling asbestos dust or fibers on an ongoing basis, as often happens in the work place industrial environment. Pericardial mesothelioma (the sac that surrounds the heart)

Pericardial Mesothelioma is a type of the third and most often attacks the tissue that lines the heart. Although it is very difficult to decipher how asbestos fibers or dust can break through to the pericardium and thrive in the lining of the heart, but certainly this cancer develops from abnormal cells that have been developed in the pleura. In addition, pericardial mesothelioma is also including malignant mesothelioma.

Mesothelioma of the tunica vaginalis testis and mesothelioma tunica serosa uteri

Information about both types of mesothelioma is very limited. This may be due to mesothelioma of the tunica vaginalis testis (internal lining of vital organ male)  and mesothelioma tunica serosa uteri (internal lining of her vital organs)including the type that rarely happens.
